BOOM SHAKA REMEMBERS LEBO MATHOSA ON WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN HER 47th BIRTHDAY… AND IT’S A DEATH-DEFYING CELEBRATION!
Boom Shaka, the iconic South African music group, is still reeling from the loss of their beloved member, Lebo Mathosa, who left this mortal coil in a tragic car accident back in 2006. But on Wednesday, the group decided to defy the grave and celebrate what would have been Lebo’s 47th birthday in a BIG way!
The party was held at Oskido’s restaurant, where the group gathered to share memories of their fallen sister and indulge in her favorite dish – special chicken chow mein. It’s clear that the pain of her loss still lingers, but they’re finding solace in the music they shared and the memories they made together.
On Instagram, the group penned a heartfelt birthday note to Lebo, saying: "Happy birthday, Angel… You’ve been on our minds and in our hearts a lot lately. We talk about you every day and miss you so much." Ouch!
But here’s the thing – they’re not just celebrating Lebo’s life; they’re keeping her memory alive by continuing to make music and perform on stage. As they so eloquently put it: "We feel your presence every single time when we are on stage. Thank you for the gift of Music."
So, Boom Shaka is not just remembering Lebo Mathosa on her birthday; they’re keeping her spirit alive and kicking!
