South African stars Cassper Nyovest, Bontle Modiselle, and Karabo Poppy enjoyed the All Star basketball weekend in Salt Lake City, United States.
The All Star games celebrated their 30th anniversary in Salt Lake City, which was home to the NBA All Star games since 1993. Local celebrities, including Cassper Nyovest and Bontle Modiselle, attended the event and shared their experiences on social media.
Bontle Modiselle shared a post on Instagram, saying it was an “African Invasion” in Salt Lake City. Cassper Nyovest shared a video of himself dancing with the caption “when Africans meet in America for #AllStarWeekend.”
According to Cassper Nyovest’s video, several African celebrities performed at the event, including Burna Boy, Rhema, and Tems. The crowd went wild for Burna Boy’s performance.
While the fans loved the content from the celebrities, they questioned the timing of the trip, as South Africa was mourning rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes. Cassper Nyovest had to miss the memorial and funeral due to a “business trip.”
Cassper Nyovest also shared a post on Twitter about missing the funeral due to a “business trip,” but paying respects to Kiernan “AKA” Forbes.
