NHLANHLA MAFU: THE FUTURE OF AFRO-POP, ONE SINGLE AT A TIME
In a shocking turn of events, Nhlanhla Mafu, one half of the iconic duo Mafikizolo, has abandoned her group duties to focus on her solo music career. But don’t get it twisted – Mafikizolo isn’t going away, and neither is Nhlanhla’s passion for music and fashion.
The sultry songstress has been burning up the airwaves with her sizzling new single "Ngithanda Wena," featuring the inimitable DJ Tira and Amatycooler. But don’t think for a second that this means she’s abandoning her day job – far from it.
"We’re just two unique brands within Mafikizolo," she explains. "We’ve always had our own individual managers because we’re two individual forces to be reckoned with. Mafikizolo will continue to make music, and we’ll announce our projects as they come up."
So, what does this mean for the future of Mafikizolo? One thing’s for sure – it’s about to get a whole lot more exciting. With Nhlanhla’s solo career taking off and her Shweshwe bridal range making waves in the fashion world, we can’t wait to see what she has in store for us.
But is this a sign that Mafikizolo is splitting up? Not according to sources close to the group. "She’s definitely putting more effort into her solo career, and taking her own bookings outside of Mafikizolo. People still love the group, but every member deserves to explore individual opportunities."
One thing’s for certain, though – Nhlanhla Mafu is a force to be reckoned with, and we can’t wait to see where she takes us next. Stay tuned for more updates on her solo journey, and don’t say we didn’t warn you – this is just the beginning of the Mafu empire’s ascent to the top.
