    “Minister Lands, Gifts the Cash

Gayton McKenzie, the new Minister of Sport, Arts, and Culture, has announced that he will donate his first salary, worth over R2 million, to a worthy cause.

In his first week in office, McKenzie visited the Kagiso Art Gallery in the West Rand, where he was deeply moved by the struggles faced by the artists. He was particularly touched by the stories of the young children who visit the gallery, some as young as four years old, and the artists who mentor them and keep them off the streets.

McKenzie was so moved by his experience that he has decided to donate his annual salary to the Joshlin Smith Foundation for missing children. The foundation is still in the process of being registered, but McKenzie has instructed his lawyers to pay over his salary to the gallery.

In a statement, McKenzie expressed his gratitude to the artists and his determination to make a positive impact. He is committed to using his position to support and empower the arts and culture sector, and to help those in need.

It is clear that McKenzie is a passionate and compassionate individual who is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others. His generosity and commitment to helping others are an inspiration to all, and we can only hope that he will continue to use his position to bring about positive change.
